We went camping in Vermont last weekend with some good friends. We stayed at Gifford Woods State Park in Killington but drove to Stowe on Saturday to explore. I requested that we stop by the Trapp Family Lodge because I’ve been curious about this place for a few years now. It’s a bit out of my budget to stay as a guest but anyone can take a walk around and visit the brewery. Their motto is “a little bit of Austria, a lot of Vermont” and as you sit perched high in the Green Mountains, surrounded by gorgeous meadows and rolling mountain views, it’s tempting to break into a rendition of “The Hills are Alive.” The views are stunning and the atmosphere is charming and very relaxing.
