Slocum’s River Reserve is series of wooded trails and open coastal farmland that is under protection of the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust and the Trustees of Reservations network. There is a variety of natural habitats to explore including meadows, tidal river, woods, and marshland on the property’s 47 acres. Jeff, some friends, and I took the trip out there one lazy Saturday morning in early winter.
But what makes Slocum’s River Reserve extra unique is the outdoor sculptures that unexpectedly appear as you wander the trails. Part of the “River Project,” these six large scale and site-specific sculptures will be on display until May 2013.
