Weetamoo Woods Tiverton RIWeetamoo Woods Tiverton RIWeetamoo Woods is over 600 acres of protected woodlands, managed by the Tiverton Open Space Commission. The property’s nine trails take you through various habitats including white cedar swamp, meadows, oak holly forest, streams, and stands of rhododendrons. There are also remains of an old colonial sawmill and a Native American quartz quarry. We hike here often with the dog, and like to climb High Rock to look out over the tree tops. I also love visiting in the Spring, to see all of the skunk cabbage sprouting and be reassured that summer is on its way.
