I turned 31 last week.

I started to feel a little depressed when I thought about how quickly the year had gone by because I had hoped to change so much more in certain areas of my life that I’ve really been struggling with. But, it’s sort of like that Rolling Stones song. I am so grateful that so many of my favorite people are alive and well and so loving.

In my current day-to-day grind, I get a little whiny that I can’t explore and travel as much as I’d like. But then I looked back at my last year of blog posts and realized how many cool experiences we’ve had, many of which I’d been meaning to try for a few years.  So I’ll STFU now and welcome 31 with a bear hug.

In no particular order are some of my favorite moments from my 30th year  . . .

Wreath Making –  Creativity using natural materials on a farm. I was in heaven.

Vermont Agritourism Workshop – In addition to being held at such an amazing venue, the workshop was so inspiring and I really hope there is one next year!

Trying out a new bike path

A perfect summer evening at a local vineyard – I hope this becomes a summer tradition.

We took our crazy mutt canoeing – It was a beautiful trip, but I think I was just as excited about having a reason to make him wear his doggie lifejacket.

I finally got to visit the Von Trappe Lodge – maybe we’ll even get up there again this winter to try their cross country skiing trails!

I got to see the famous Daffodil Days at Blithewold, it did not disappoint.

We discovered a nearby wild island (one we can take the dog to).

We went to see family in San Diego and visited Palm Springs and Las Vegas.
