Blithewold Mansion has a small but impeccably-maintained greenhouse on its property. When I was there a few weeks ago for the Daffodil Days event, I had to peek in. The variety of plants and colors in that one little area is astonishing. The fact that they have some well established citrus trees gives me hope that someday I might be able to grow it here too. I met the greenhouse caretaker at a conference once. She was so kind and described how each season she researches a new variety of plants to cultivate, so you never know what you’ll find when you visit!
