IMG_5283 copyLast weekend, generous friends took us on a boat ride in our local Narragansett Bay. I used to work on the water for a few different jobs throughout college and I forgot how much I missed it. Being on the water like that makes me feel almost electric – especially when reached the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. I felt so alive and excited just thinking about the history of that waterway, all the crazy animals that lie beneath.

Bathed in the golden light of a perfect late summer afternoon, lying beneath blue skies and white puffy clouds, the little towns on this piece of Rhode Island coastline were just a beautiful, tiny model.
